Gerber applique onesie using my Slice

Several months back, one of the blogs I am following was doing a giveaway for a Slice Fabrique. {to check out this awesome little machine go here! She shows you how it works and what all you can do with it}. Anywho, so I never enter giveaways for the sheer fact that I NEVER win anything! When I saw this Slice giveaway I thought; what the hay, why not enter, it's not like I will win. Guess what happened...I WON!! Can you imagine my excitement when I received the winning email! No, probably not, but I will tell you that I interrupted my husband taking a shower to tell him what I had won and how excited I was! :) Funny thing though, I entered this giveaway only under the impression, hey this is a pretty cool little deal, I'll enter the drawing just for kicks. So I had NO idea how to use this little puppy. :/  What's a girl to do?...a little research! And that I did during the time it took to ship. So when it arrived I knew what to do!

This little guy girl, I'm not sure why I reference my slice in the male gender, so I've re-gendered it, is pretty awesome! You spread some white gel onto a piece of glass, lay your fabric onto it, make all your selections of what you want to cut on, your slice display; place it on your fabric, then press go. It does the rest! I love it and am so happy I won it!
Disclaimer: I've been trying to win a Go Baby Fabric Cutter through various giveaways on the blogs I follow, and of course to no avail have I won. This just goes to show that when I want to win it doesn't happen, but when I don't care about winning it does. Weird, I know! Maybe I should change my attitude about the Go Baby....nah! :)

So today with my awesome "little girl", I cut out a flower in some Moda fabric I have and ironed it onto a Gerber onesie. Easy peasy, right! I know!  It is just silly how easy it is to make things with it. Here it is:

    Isn't it just CUTE!!! I plan to make more applique onesies and sell them in my etsy shop. {just waiting on a issue with the state revenue dept. so I can start listing things}

Feel free to leave me any thoughts or maybe a design idea ;) I'm open to suggestions as long as they're nice ones :)
